Working Remotely as a Signallamp Nurse
At Signallamp Health, remote healthcare assistance is our business model. Our goal is to help healthcare practices stay connected with their patients in-between office visits through technology-enabled care management. Being that Signallamp nurses work entirely remotely, our team has the opportunity to connect with their patients on a more personal level.
“I love working from home because I feel like I have the best of both worlds,” says Ashley, one of our nurses. “I feel like I get to be a stay-at-home mom who also has a full-time job that I love, that helps contribute to my family financially. It just takes all that stress and that mom-guilt that we tend to have away from having a job.” Our remote care model is something that benefits both our nurses and their patients, as both parties are able to connect on a more human level without the hustle and bustle of everyday life.
Another aspect of working from home that Ashley enjoys is being able to create her own dedicated workspace within the home. “My work setting that I have in my house is super comfortable because I can kind of decorate it exactly how I want to, and I don’t have to worry about impeding on anybody else’s space. It’s just great being able to dictate your own workspace.” The convenience factor is another reason why our nurses find working from home so effective, with Ashley saying “I can just jump on the computer at 8:00 in my pajamas and just start working. There’s absolutely no commute and it helps me stay on top of my household tasks.”
Our team of amazing nurses is truly what makes the Signallamp difference, and we couldn’t do what we do without them. The collaborative attitude and team spirit of our staff is another thing Ashley loves about being a Signallamp nurse, stating “I feel like I have more support now working from home than I ever did in any facility. I have a whole team of nurses on my cell phone that I can just group chat with and throw ideas back and forth. I can call and email my administration and they get right back to me, and they’re constantly sending out updates and ideas on how to make my workflow easier. I feel very supported in this job.”
If there is one thing Ashley loves most about working as a Signallamp nurse, it’s the healthy work-life balance and feeling like she never has to miss out on important family time because of work. “I chose nursing as a career that I love, I love taking care of patients, but I also love my family. Signallamp Health has really let me find this place in nursing that lets me feel like I’m a great nurse but that I’m not missing out on my entire family life. With Signallamp Health, I don’t feel like I’m sacrificing my home life or my career.”
